Hundreds of
tourists visit every year to Germany
for an adventurous or a relaxed vacation.
Germany is known
for Schwarzwald Wellness and health resorts. The most popular place for spas in
the Schwarzwald is Baden-Baden,
which is located in the northern corner of the region. It scores highest in
wholesome climate, thermal springs, and hay baths. This town has a long bathing
tradition, of which also the ruins of a Roman bathing place are a good proof. Today
it hosts a modern bathing complex, Caracalla therme, with indoor and outdoor
pools and more.
Another popular place for bathing in Black Forest is
Friedrichsback located in Baden-Baden
only. It was built in 19th century. It is a more traditional alternative. Natural
spas and hot water springs specially designed at the Schwarzwald Wellness
hotels is the main tourist attraction in Schwarzwald.
Hesse in the heart of Germany is the
country’s no. 1 spa state. It has around 32 therapeutic spa towns.
Other than these, along the Baltic coast, there are long-standing German
sea spa towns such as Heiligendamm. It is knows as the
“white town on the coast”. It is the oldest and perhaps most refined German sea
spa town, with a few good hotels. It is also considered a gesamtkunstwerk of
Classicist architecture.
